How to Spot and Report a Phishing Email
Phishing is a fake email designed to trick you into giving up a password, sending money, or clicking a harmful link. Learning to spot it protects you and the whole company. Here is what to watch for and what to do.
Red flags to watch for
- Urgency or threats. "Your account will be closed in 24 hours" is meant to rush you.
- Unexpected requests for money or gift cards, especially if they claim to be from your boss or a vendor.
- Requests for your password, login, or personal information. Real companies do not ask for this by email.
- A sender address that does not match the name, or a look-alike domain with a small change.
- Links that do not match. Hover over a link, without clicking, to see where it really goes.
- Unexpected attachments, especially ones asking you to enable content.
- Spelling and grammar that seem off, or a generic greeting like "Dear customer."
What to do
- Do not click any links or open attachments.
- Do not reply, and do not call any phone number in the message.
- Do not enter your password anywhere the email sends you.
- Forward the suspicious email to support@robb.tech so we can review it.
- Wait for us to confirm before you act on the message.

Do not panic, but act fast. Call us right away at (806) 370-4700. The sooner we know, the sooner we can protect your account. This counts as urgent.
